Clicks Per Unique Opens - What are they?

Ultimately, the goal of any email marketing campaign is to get a click. Click Rate and Clicks per Unique Open give a fair idea about your subscribers and how they have engaged with your email campaign.

Click Rate is the percentage of subscribers who clicked on a link or an image within your campaign. This metric indicates whether your campaign was engaging or not.

Formula:
Click Rate = (Number of Clicks ÷ Number of Emails Delivered) × 100

Click per Unique Open rate Clicks per Unique Open Rate gives you the percentage of unique subscribers who opened your campaign and clicked on a link inside it at least once.

Example:
If you have sent 1,000 emails and received 500 unique opens and 300 clicks, and out of those 300 clicks, 100 are unique clicks, then your Click Rate is 30%, and your Clicks per Unique Open Rate is 20%.

A number of factors such as the subject line, email copy, and placement of the call-to-action (CTA) affect your Clicks per Unique Open Rate. A higher unique open rate does not guarantee a high Clicks per Unique Open Rate. For instance, your subject line might be catchy, leading to a strong open rate. But if the CTA inside your email is not relevant or persuasive, you may end up with a poor Clicks per Unique Open Rate.
